Chapter o1.
The murmur of people’s chats, kids playing, the waters of the fountains running calmly... The scenery was too beautiful to be true. It was the first time they were there, in Gion, for holidays. Nothing to do, no lives, no schedule, not waking up early. And as much as they tried to hide it, they were excited about being at the Jidai Festival. They had been waiting for the parade to leave at Kyoto Gyoen Park, had gone for dinner and were now waiting at the Heian - jinja Shrine. When the parade finally arrived and entered the shrine, people burst into applauses and some kids dared entering the shrine... Uruha and Kai were smiling happily, Reita was complaining about the hot weather and Aoi had gone for some drinks. Ruki was still staring at the shrine.
“That was a beautiful parade, wasn’t it?” Ruki said. “For God’s sake, Reita, would you stop complaining about the weather?” Uruha asked almost exasperated.
“No!” Reita complained. “It’s way too hot for being October!!” “Maybe you’ve just forgotten the weatherman said this week would be too hot for autumn?” Kai asked amused. “Shut up,” the bassist said toked up at whom should have been a stranger, but...
“You shouldn’t hug whoever’s behind you, you know,” he smiled. Ruki swallowed hard. “Here you have,” Aoi said quickly, giving him a drink. “The one you wanted, right?” He then went with the others, who apparently hadn’t realized anything. But... when he turned around, Uruha’s grin was waiting for him.
* * * That night Ruki couldn’t sleep. He was sharing room with Kai in a beautiful ryokan. Aoi was with Uruha and Reita. Why the hell was he thinking about Aoi? He had been lucky to have hugged Aoi instead of some stranger. But... there was something wrong about it. He didn’t know it had been Aoi until he opened his eyes. He hadn’t e with a sweetness Ruki couldn’t take anymore. Lazily the vocalist turned around, stretching his arms, refining his acting skills. He had the impression Aoi wanted to tickle him and tease him for a while, but he was faster than the guitarist.
Ruki kept on debating with himself, and the last day of holidays found him sleeping late again. He opened his eyes and the first thing they saw was his mobile. And it had a missed call. From Aoi. Shit. The thing he had been waiting for during the last couple of days... had happened and what was he doing? Sleeping! He needed to know what was happening to him... why he was so nervous every time he thought of Aoi. He grabbed his mobile and dialed Aoi’s number... but nothing happened. No one picked it up, no one answered.
"Well, I'm going home," the blonde guitarist announce, standing up.
"Alright Then," Aoi said. "Do not burn the house ..."
"Take care of Ruki-chu ~" Uruha SmiledBefore leaving.
Ruki-chu? Who the hell WAS
I calling Ruki-chu? The vocalist Had the impression Uruha Knew That I wanted to be alone with Aoi. I Wonderer What They Had Been talking about. Everything I wanted to know, He Did not Feel Like That left Being comfortable. Even if Aoi Had phone him to go out. They Were sitting in Some cool restaurant about to order meal. But Ruki's mind WAS Being crammed full again by Thoughts and questions That Need an answer.
"What do you want to eat? I wonder if you're hungry after events That huge sweet ... "
" Why Did not Before you phone? "
" I did phone you, "Aoi Answered, confused. "I mean, Before this morning. I've been ... alone ... "" You Could haveI wanted to know if it WAS just an obsession, a misunderstanding, or if it WAS real. I sat on
Their favorite sofa, waiting for Aoi to arrive. Ruki Did not Have To Wait Any Longer, Because the guitarist WAS Already There. He Was Also early. And His Eyes Were fixed on him as I Approaches: a Ruki. And Then, just a step away from him, Ruki Thought Would historical heart stop beating.
