It didn’t matter what, he just couldn’t resist the temptation of being close to him, to spend all the time he could, to hear him laugh… Why was he so weak?

The murmur of people’s chats, kids playing, the waters of the fountains running calmly... The scenery was too beautiful to be true. It was the first time they were there, in Gion, for holidays. Nothing to do, no lives, no schedule, not waking up early. And as much as they tried to hide it, they were excited about being at the Jidai Festival. They had been waiting for the parade to leave at Kyoto Gyoen Park, had gone for dinner and were now waiting at the Heian - jinja Shrine. When the parade finally arrived and entered the shrine, people burst into applauses and some kids dared entering the shrine... Uruha and Kai were smiling happily, Reita was complaining about the hot weather and Aoi had gone for some drinks. Ruki was still staring at the shrine.

But he always ended up leaving the phone, sitting down in front of him and staring at him, as if the phone itself would phone Aoi and find the answers.

Ruki kept on debating with himself, and the last day of holidays found him sleeping late again. He opened his eyes and the first thing they saw was his mobile. And it had a missed call. From Aoi. Shit. The thing he had been waiting for during the last couple of days... had happened and what was he doing? Sleeping! He needed to know what was happening to him... why he was so nervous every time he thought of Aoi. He grabbed his mobile and dialed Aoi’s number... but nothing happened. No one picked it up, no one answered. The vocalist sighed and got dressed. He needed to get out of there. He walked down the streets in desperate search for something to eat, something sweet, with lots of chocolate. Yeah, that’s what he needed. He bought probably the biggest chocolate sweet he had eaten in his whole life, and just when he was about to start eating it... Aoi left the store next to wherederstanding What Was happening to him. I Remained silent, always looking down except when to Aoi Talk to him. But It Was In His Mind just him and Aoi. And Suddenly Uruha's smirk appeared on His Mind. Uruha Knew Something. Uruha Had When He Had seen him clung to the first person I Could find, Not Knowing How It Was, and relaxing in Those arms ... He Lifted His Eyes and They Met Uruha's. There Was Nothing on Them. Nothing disquieting. It Was Just Uruha, His old friend, looking back at him with a slight smile on His face, Meaning ... I Knew Something Ruki should.

I open my eyes three months ago, That is, two years after the accident
